One in four adults in Prince George's County hide the fact that they struggle to read. They sign permission slips that they donít understand, carry newspapers they canít decipher, and memorize routes so they donít have to read maps.

The Literacy Council of Prince Georgeís County helps these adults find the support they need Ė with more than 40 classes and programs in basic reading, high school diploma preparation, English language, and family literacy. Now, letís find you a role:

GED Site Assistants

Help our GED instructors stay focused on delivering the curriculum by helping students get checked in and directing them to their assigned classes.

What you should expect:
To act as first point of contact for students reporting for class.
Two nights/week; one hour/night.
4 month commitment.
