External Diploma Program (EDP)
The External Diploma program is provided by the Literacy Council of Prince George’s County at the Sports and Learning Complex in Landover near FedEx Field. This is an alternative way to obtain a Maryland State High School Diploma without having to take the GED examination. This program consists of self-study assignments and life-skills assessments in place of classroom lessons and examinations. Students meet with their Advisors/Assessors every week and each day get one step closer to a high school diploma. Students in this program are highly motivated and determined to do whatever it takes to obtain a high school diploma and a brighter future. For more information, contact our EDP Coordinator, Helen Ottley, at (301) 602 -2970 or email at helen.ottley@literacycouncil.org.

Computer Lab Instruction
A computer lab is available to enable students to use computers to work on their literacy skills with the assistance from a teacher in the laboratory.

English Conversation Groups
English conversation groups allow students to learn about U.S. culture and government while building Englsih speaking, reading and writing skills.
